Digital visual artists, designers and dramaturgs Emily Soussana and Andrew Scriver of the new media arts collective potatoCakes_digital designed the following interactive imagined planet based on Erin Lindsay’s two poems that were featured on the previous page. Erin’s poems were crafted using words found exclusively in works created by participants of 2 creative writing workshops at DDO Library in Montreal’s West Island.
A Note from the digital artists:
“A wee planet that you might find at the end of a long space exploration. Inspired by the 5 Other Planets Haikus, we created a little escape from the hustle and bustle of the universe. Our starting point into the work was found in Haiku II with the opening line “An empty house moon” - this evoked a feeling of quiet, cozy solitude that we tried to capture with our tiny house nestled in the rock face of the planet.”-Emily and Andrew aka potatoCakes_digital
